MORE MATH GAMES

We learned how to play another new math game today. It is called "Count to Zero". To play the game, you need 10 counters and a container to put them in. You also need a die. You and your partner take turns rolling the die to see how many counters you can take out of the container. You keep taking turns until all of the counters are out of the container. We then played the game in reverse trying to fill it as quickly as possible. We also played a counting game on the SMARTboard as well.

METIS PRESENTATION

We had a Metis presentation today where we learned about Jim Setee. He was a very talented tracker who worked for many years in the Prince Albert National Park, saving many lost people.

DAILY 3

We have been learning about 3 of the Dailies this month. We have learned how to do "Read to Self", "Word Work", and "Listen to Reading". We need to build our stamina for doing these Dailies, so that we can work independently while others are having Guided Reading with the teachers. Check out our slideshow.
