We have been counting the days and finally the 100th day arrived on February 10th! We got together with our grade six reading buddies in the morning to participate in a few fun activities and share a yummy snack. In the afternoon, we did some 100th Day math and then blew up 100 balloons. What fun!

We have been very busy learning about addition and subtraction in math this month. One way that we have practiced using our adding and subtracting skills was by making story problems for our partner to solve. Check it out.

To celebrate Family Literacy Day on January 27th, our school started the day with "Books and Bagels". Our family members were invited to come to school with us and read books while enjoying coffee and a bagel. Check out all of the awesome reading that we did that morning. What fun!

The week before Christmas was a busy one for our class! We had many concert practices with the big performance on the evening of December 16th. Our principal, Mrs. Wotherspoon, also treated us to a different treat each day: an extra 5 minutes of recess on Monday, a candy cane on Tuesday, DEAR time on Wednesday, and some extra physical exercise on Thursday. Our week finished with a special visit from Santa and a class party where we exchanged gifts and ate lots of yummy treats. What a great week!
