We had our Kindergarten Visit today (June 22nd). Last week we were all paired up with a Kindergarten student and we wrote a letter to our partner telling them all about grade one. This morning, our Kindergarten partner came for a visit. We began with a tour of our classroom; explaining where every things is. Then, we had them come to the SMARTboard and we showed them how to use the SMART Response clickers to do a quiz about grade one and our classroom. Finally, we ate our snacks and did a little reading together. We all had an awesome visit. Thanks for coming to visit Kindergarten!

On the afternoon of June 20th, we had our final meeting with our grade six reading buddies. It was a warm sunny afternoon, so we went outside on the front lawn to enjoy an ice cream treat and some reading. Thanks grade six for all of your help this year. We enjoyed our time with you and we will miss you next year when you are at the Comp.

On June 20th and June 22nd, we went to the Melville Swimming Pool for school swimming. Our first day of swimming was awesome weather wise with lots of sunshine. Our second swim day was very windy and cold but we still swam.

On June 15, 2017, we went to the Western Development Museum in Yorkton with Mrs. Kreklewich's grade two class. We made ice cream, went on a scavenger hunt through the museum, toured through the farm machinery outside, had a picnic lunch and ate our homemade ice cream. What a fun trip!

During the month of May we planted some marigold and bean seeds and watched them grow. We each kept a plant journal where we recorded the changes in our plants as they grew. At the end of the month, we took our plants home. A lot of our beans had blossoms already!
